Important Dates and Information for 2018-2019

  • School supply lists are linked to our website

  • Class assignment letters for students in grades 1-4 will be mailed from our district office on or about August 10th

  • Open house for Grades 1-4 is Monday, August 20th from 6-7pm

  • First day of school for students in grades 1-4 is Tuesday, August 21st

  • Student hours are 9:05 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.

  • Kindergarten screening will occur on the day you selected during enrollment.  Screening dates are August 21-23

  • Location of Kindergarten screening for Fishcreek is Stow United Methodist Church, 4880 Fishcreek Rd., Stow, OH 44224.

  • Kindergarten families will receive an email notification of class assignment by noon on Friday, August 24th

  • Open House for Kindergarten families will be Friday, August 24th from 5-6pm

  • First day of school for Kindergarten students is Monday, August 27th

 

Fishcreek Student Dismissal Procedure (New for 2018-19 School Year)

 Student dismissal begins at 3:35 p.m. If you need to pick up your child at the end of the day, please follow this procedure:

  • Park in our side parking lot.

  • Report to the main entrance between 3:25 and 3:35 p.m. and ring the buzzer to be admitted to the school.

  • Sign out your child on the sheet at the window and exit the building to wait outside of the side doors for your child. A parent note or phone call before dismissal is required if someone other than the parent is picking up the child. Please make sure that you update the list of people who are permitted to pick up your child in the online annual forms.

  • Students will be checked out by a staff member as they exit the side door. Adults will not enter the building at this time, but will need to wait in an orderly fashion outside. Students will be checked off individually as we have done in the past.

  • PLEASE NOTE: In order to safely facilitate the dismissal of our students, all students who are signed out between 3:20 and 3:35 p.m. will be dismissed at the side doors at 3:35 p.m. Students will not be called to the office during that time.

  • Adults who are picking up students are not permitted inside the building during dismissal time.
