SMFCSD COVID-19 FAQ

The district is taking additional precautions to promote a healthy school environment.  Proper handwashing is key to preventing the spread of COVID-19 in addition to the flu and other viruses.  The CDC recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.  If soap and water are not available, an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol can be used until soap and water are available.  Additional information can be found at this link.

The National Association of School Psychologists has published a parent resource for talking to children about COVID-19.  It can be found at this link.

If your child is ill, please refer to the chart at the bottom of the page for when they should return to school.
